How Long Does It Take?

20 minutes

How Long Does It Last?

1 to 3 years or longer

How it works

Offered only by trained and certified O-shot® providers, the O-shot® is a straightforward procedure with very low risks. First, a numbing cream is applied to the entire region to ensure maximum comfort. Then, your blood is drawn and the platelets—their very important growth factors—are isolated. After a nerve block is placed, the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is injected and added in a very specific way to ensure to stays where it can provide the most benefit.

Who is this best for?

Women ages 40 to 70 who experience occasional urinary incontinence, chronic vaginal dryness, or reduced or insufficient sexual sensitivity.

When Will I Notice A Difference?

Within 6 hours to 2 days post-procedure, most women report a significant increase in clitoral sensitivity and more intense, more numerous and prolonged orgasms. The improvement in urinary leakage is typically more noticeable at 1-2 weeks, then palpably noticeable at 2 months when the PRP is in full effect. These results continue for approximately one to two years (and sometimes longer).

What Are The Risks?

Your specific risks will be discussed with you by the doctor, but in general, this is considered a very low-risk procedure as long as it is done by a certified O-Shot® provider. If this procedure is not done properly, there is a risk of urinary outflow obstruction (the inability to get the urine out) which would require immediate medical attention. The protocol developed by Dr. Runels does not carry this risk.

Is The Procedure Painful?

Most patients report minimal to no pain with the entire procedure. Numbing cream is applied topically before any injections are done, and then a nerve block is done with a very tiny needle after numbing cream.

How will I feel immediately following the procedure?

You will feel totally normal (and maybe a little excited—after all, a whole new world is coming your way!) There is no post-procedure pain. With injections, there is always a small chance of bruising. When this rarely occurs, it is minimal and quickly healed.

Is It FDA Approved?

The FDA oversees devices and medications, it does not govern your own body’s tissues nor does it oversee the practice of medicine. All of our kits, devices, and medications are FDA approved.

Who Should Not Have This Procedure?

Women with complete incontinence or with severe neurogenic bladder from a spinal cord injury or stroke.

How Should I Prepare For the O-Shot®?

No NSAIDS

Do not take any NSAIDS medications (ibuprofen, aspirin 325mg only (the 81mg is fine), Aleve or Excedrin for 1-2 weeks before the procedure. Since NSAIDS decrease the ability of the PRP to initiate the regenerative response, avoid them a minimum of 2 weeks after the procedure for optimal results. Failure to care and prepare for your procedure may result in a non-optimal response and a need to repeat the procedures much more frequently.

Shave

Shaving or trimming your intimate areas (at least with an electric razor) will create easier visibility for the doctor and a better experience for you during the procedure.

How much does it cost?

The O-Shot® Procedure is $1,500.

Is There A Bundle That Includes O-Shot®?

YES! It is called “The Trifecta” and includes the Vampire BreastLift®, the Vampire FaceLift®, and the O-Shot®. All three of those procedures utilize your own PRP. Start the booking process here.
